The Moon
Major arcanumAlso: Major Arcanum 18
Upright
Not everything is being called by its real name. Check facts, not feelings
Unclarity, anxiety, dreams, instinct, what is unnamed
Reversed
Anxiety standing in for an actual threat
Clearing, the fear named, coming out of the fog
What the card means
Upright
Not everything is being called by its real name, and right now the feelings are worse than the facts. The card is about a road at dusk: you can walk it, but check with your eyes rather than your instincts. The anxiety in it is real and nearly always larger than whatever caused it.
Reversed
The fog lifts: the fear is named, the deception opened, the dream over. Sometimes the self-deception is knowing, which is harder than not knowing.
Love and relationships
Upright
Things unsaid, jealousy with or without cause - and from here the two cannot be told apart. Not the time for conclusions: check before believing your own version.
Reversed
It came out as it is. Or the anxiety let go, and it turned out not to have been about your partner.
Work and business
Upright
Incomplete data, vague agreements, somebody not saying everything. A poor time to sign. A good one to ask the direct question.
Reversed
What was hidden has come out. Or you have finally stopped filling in other people's reasons for them.
Money
Upright
Figures that cannot be taken on trust. Check the terms twice and do not agree under time pressure.
Reversed
The deception has been found. Unpleasant, and better than continuing.
The card's advice
Check facts, not feelings. Ask the direct question instead of building a version. And remember that everything is larger at night than it is - leave the decisions until morning.
As the card of the day
A day on which it is better to decide nothing. Good for sleep, and for writing the worry down to look at tomorrow. Poor for signing and for conclusions.
What is depicted
A moon with a face in profile drips; below, a dog and a wolf howl and a crayfish crawls from the water. A path runs off between two towers. There is a road, and it is lit exactly enough not to see where it goes.
Zodiac sign and correspondences

Yes or no
No
Probably not: too much is still unnamed for a yes to mean anything.
