Two paths

6 cards

Two paths: you and the other person, what each of you feels, what is between you, and where it is going.

What this spread is

The spread for two people - and the only one here where the other side gets as much room as the first. Two columns facing each other, with the connection and the outcome beneath them: you see not only what each person feels but what is happening between, and those are rarely the same thing.

When to use it

For a relationship of any kind - a couple, a family, a partnership, a conflict that has gone on. Particularly when you understand your own side and not theirs, or when both sides seem fine and it still does not work together.

How to read it

Read the columns separately first - you, then them - and only then the two cards below. The connection often turns out not to be the sum of the two: it happens that the feeling on both sides is warm and something third lies between. Read the outcome last, and with both columns in view.

The positions

  1. 1 You

You in this: how you behave and what you show.

  2. 2 Them

The other person: what they do, and what is visible from where you stand.

  3. 3 Your feelings

What you feel - including what you do not show.

  4. 4 Their feelings

What they feel. Often the most unexpected card in the spread.

  5. 5 The connection

What is happening between you: the connection itself, which is not always the sum of two people.

  6. 6 Outcome

Where it is going, as things currently stand.

Lay it out

Laid on the table from your own cards - the positions are labelled the same as here.
