What's new: the Android app, Vivi the helper, and the night sky

Here is what has changed on the site over the last few weeks, and what is on its way.

Vivi, the helper

Meet Vivi, a small witch who lives in the corner of the page and tells you what's what.

• She is off until you call her. Call her at the bottom of any page ("Call Vivi, the helper") or in Settings.
• On each page she has one short tip a day. Tap her and she will tell you more.
• She tells you what matters: a new message in another conversation, an offer from a reader, a service marked as done, a dispute opened. She explains how to read a spread and a birth chart.
• "Not now" sends her away until tomorrow. "Turn Vivi off" sends her away until you call her again.
• She stays out of your way: on a phone she peeks from the corner and steps aside while you read or type. Her pictures load only when she is on, so pages are no heavier.

The night sky

The map of the sky has been made anew:

• the sky above your city right now: the horizon, the cardinal points, the Moon and the planets;
• move time back and forward - see where the stars stood on the day you were born;
• search for stars, planets and constellations;
• on a phone, point it at the sky and the map turns with it;
• tap a star and its constellation's drawing appears, with the constellation's stars and border lit up.

Something new every day

• A horoscope for every day, for all twelve signs.
• The card of the day and the horoscope are now written anew every day and never repeat.

Four languages

• Bulgarian and Kazakh are here: the site is now in Russian, English, Bulgarian and Kazakh.
• On your first visit the site opens in your browser's language, if we have it. You can change it at any time.

Safety and comfort

• You can report a post, a reply or a person; blocking someone now covers the replies under your posts as well.
• You can delete your account yourself, in Settings.
• Pictures load at the size they are shown, so pages open faster.
• A new icon: a crescent with an eye on a night sky.

Coming soon: the Android app

We are getting the AstralFate app for Android ready. It is not the site in a window but an app of its own:

• Today: the card of the day and the horoscope for your sign;
• the feed, walls, posts, replies and reactions;
• live chats and message notifications (on phones without Google services too); a conversation can be muted for an hour, eight hours, two days or until you lift it;
• readers, their services and reviews;
• your deals with readers: their conversation, confirming, disputes and reviews;
• for readers: services, pictures and profile right from the phone;
• tools the app draws itself: the destiny matrix, the birth chart, the free three-card reading (the phone itself checks the shuffle was fair) and a map of the sky that turns with your phone;
• and Vivi, with the same switch: turn her on on the site and she is in the app too;
• the screens you opened last can be read without a connection;
• large text and screen readers are supported.

We will let you know when the app is on Google Play.
